Jordan- Chilly weather light rain forecast


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Jan. 3 (Petra) -- Chilly and dry weather is forecast over the next few days following a wet weekend during which heavy rain drenched many parts of the country. Snow also fell on Friday on mountainous areas but there was no major accumulation.

On Sunday the weather is expected to stabilize but still there is a chance for intermittent showers of light rain in the northern and central regions. In its daily briefing the Jordan Meteorological Department warned of frost formation especially after midnight and in the early morning hours in the highlands and Badia.

No significant change in weather is forecast in the next two days and it will remain very cold with the high in Amman not exceeding 8 degrees Celsius dropping to 3 degrees at night. Mercury levels will start to gradually pick up throughout the week to reach 14 degrees Celsius in Amman on Wednesday.
