ABU DHABI 3rd January 2016 (WAM) -- President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has echoed the view of the entire nation when he praised Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of ruling and leading a rational and sophisticated government one of the most advanced and efficient governments in managing its services with the testimony of prestigious international organisations.
"Monday will be a momentous day for Dubai and the entire country as it marks Sheikh Mohammed's ten-year accession day anniversary" said The Gulf Today in an editorial on Sunday.
"Sheikh Mohammed is one such world leader a pioneer extraordinaire who lets work speak more than words. The results are palpable. Dubai has turned from desert sands into a land of golden opportunities where around 200 nationalities work and live in harmony.
"Everything that Dubai does is novel and exciting thanks to the vision of the leader. The world's tallest building Burj Khalifa revolutionary driverless Dubai Metro world's busiest airport for international passenger traffic annual fiestas for residents and tourists alike such as the Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises fun icy entertainment spots in the middle of hot desert terrain such as Ski Dubai...the list of Dubai's achievements is just beginning.
"Tolerance is the foundation of any successful society and Dubai has set a brilliant example in this. In a recent interview with the Newsweek Middle East magazine Sheikh Mohammed made it clear that the UAE leaders are building a nation that will be a model for other nations and a system based on tolerance openness and coexistence.
"Economic progress without a humanitarian touch will make little sense. Hence Sheikh Mohammed has stressed that humanitarian and development work should keep pace with and benefit from technology developments and work in an institutional manner to fulfill the UAE's vision of transforming into a real humanitarian capital.
"By 2025 the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives Foundation hopes to have supported and educated 20 million children and prevented or treated blindness and eye diseases for 30 million people. It will invest AED2 billion in medical research centres and hospitals in the region and AED500 million in research projects addressing water shortages a major challenge facing this region.
"As Sheikh Khalifa correctly pointed out during these ten years Sheikh Mohammed has established transparent systems of government administration in performance and quality standards smart services and established programmes to prepare future generations of human cadres.
