UAE- Tuck in Kulcha King's on a roll

Asian restaurant Kulcha King plans to open 14 more branches throughout the UAE in 2016. It also plans to make a foray into international markets such as the GCC UK and India.

The casual dining concept made its Dubai debut in 2010 with a turnover of Dh3 million. Today Kulcha King has nine outlets in Dubai and one in Sharjah with a combined staff of 300 and a projected year-end turnover of Dh27 million.

The man behind this growth story is Vicky Sethi managing director of King Group Hospitality. Sethi was managing his father's business in India since 1997 before he decided to follow his dreams and opened the first Kulcha King outlet in Dubai.

The business has grown from strength to strength owing to a loyal customer base a novel menu and word of mouth.

Sethi intends to strenghthen the back-end infrastructure to support expansion plans in 2016. In order to streamline operations Sethi plans to open a central kitchen with a warehouse of 25000 sq ft in the first quarter of 2016. Sethi also envisions 52 express models of Kulcha King over the next three years and looks to take the brand to the UK and India by 2018.

He said: "It is tough not to develop an affinity for Indian cuisine as it is ranked among the top five cuisines of the world. Our mission has been to have a global presence right from the beginning and we are steadily working towards that."

Kulcha King will soon be seen on shelves across supermarkets convenience stores and corporate offices in Dubai.
