Fire kills ten workers in Kashmir
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI Jan 1 (KUNA) -- Ten people perished in a fire in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir police said on Friday.Indian news agency IANS reported quoting Senior Superintendent of Police Randip Kumar that the fire broke out overnight in Chanderkote camp where construction workers were staying.Ten workers from the states of Punjab Himachal Pradesh and different places of Jammu and Kashmir died due to asphyxiation and burn injuries he said. Indian authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident amid reports that electricity short circuit might have caused the fire. (end) atk.rk
