Sudanese Pres. extends unilateral ceasefire for another month

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM Dec 31 (KUNA) -- President Al-Bashir announced Thursday the extension of a unilateral ceasefire at all fronts to complete national dialogue between the government and different opposition and rebel movements. In a televised speech to the nation President Al-Bashir said that the national and societal dialogue was launched without exclusion to anyone any view and any issue.The Sudanese news agency (SUNA) reported that the month will begin after end of a two-month lull which was declared by President Al-Bashir on January 10 2016.The government has paved the way for dialogue invited all people to participate given guarantees declared cease-fire for two successive months to show good will and to encourage the gun-holders to join the peace process and dialogue as the sole means for realizing demands solving grievances and surpassing bitterness he said. He noted that the government has released the detainees and welcomed the activities and public symposiums of the political parties toward paving the way for the national dialogue. (end) ahh.ibi
