Jordan- Korean Gov't to provide 2 million to establish school in Idon


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Dec. 31 (Petra)--Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Mohammad Thneibat on Thursday signed with Korean Ambassador to Jordan Choi Hong-ghi a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a new school in idon town in the northern governorate of Irbid.

The school which will be establish in cooperation with the Ministry of Pubic Works and Housing through a $2 million that will be offered by the Korean government can accommodate 500 students.

The project comes within the Korean aid to the Ministry of Education in the 2015 Jordan Response Plan (JRP) concerning Syrian refugees.

The minister highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and South Korea and thanked the Korean government for its support that will enable the ministry of achieve its developmental goals.

The Korean ambassador for his part praised his country's relations with Jordan noting that his government is keen to support Jordan's education sector.
