Saudi invests USD 8bn into the Egyptian market


(MENAFN) According to Minister of Investment, Saudi and Egypt will hold the second meeting on 5 Jan, which will discuss activating the Saudi King's initiative to inject almost USD 8bn in the Egyptian market.

In addition, Saudi Arabia has been a strong follower of the ruling system in Egypt, which offered almost USD 2bn in support of Egypt's foreign exchange assets.

"Egypt will pull a slice of those investments during the first quarter of 2016," said the Minister, taking into consideration that the Saudi money is ready, waiting the studies for the Egyptian projects.

The investments will be applied using Saudi independent funds after conducting studies to assess the future projects' economic viability.
