Tunisian Pres. meets Saudi FM on bilateral ties


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS Dec 30 (KUNA) -- Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi received at Carthage Palace Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir who started a two-day official visit to Tunisia on Wednesday. The meeting provided a chance for both sides to follow up the outcomes of President Essebsi's visit to Saudi Arabia on December 22-23 including the agreements on economic and military cooperation according to a statement by the Tunisian Presidency.Al-Judeir who leads a senior-level delegation is scheduled to discuss with the Tunisian leaders ways to promote cooperation in the economic security and defence areas.He will meet Prime Minister Habib Essid and other senior officials to explore ways for activating the signed accords.Tunisia has joined the initiative for launching an Islamic coalition against terrorism announced by Saudi Arabia earlier this month; the membership of the coalition grew to more than 30 countries.
