Kuwait- Military strikes continue against IS terrorists in Syria, Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON Dec 30 -- Coalition military forces continued to attack the so-called Islamic States (IS) terrorists in Syria and Iraq the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) revealed in a statement Wendesday. In Syria coalition military forces conducted four strikes using attack bomber and remotely piloted aircraft.One strike destroyed an ISIL excavator near Al-Hasakak; one strike struck an IS tactical unit and destroyed an IS vehicle near Aleppo; one strike struck a large IS tactical unit and destroyed an IS vehicle near Ayn Isa and one strike struck an IS main oil pump station near Dayr Az Zawr.In Iraq coalition military forces conducted 24 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter attack bomber and remotely piloted aircraft against IS targets.One strike damaged an IS trench system near Fallujah; one strike struck an IS tactical unit and destroyed an IS bunker Near Kisik; nine strikes struck six separate IS tactical units and destroyed an IS assembly area an IS bed down location 20 IS fighting positions two IS vehicles and an IS tunnel near Mosul.Seven strikes struck five separate IS tactical units and destroyed an IS vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) three IS vehicles an IS tactical vehicle an IS rocket rail an IS building an IS homemade explosives (HME) cache an IS front end loader two IS fighting positions four IS heavy machine gun positions wounded an IS fighter and denied IS access to terrain near Ramadi.In addition two strikes struck an IS tactical unit and destroyed an IS heavy machine gun two IS fighting positions and suppressed an IS mortar position near Sinjar; two strikes destroyed eight IS fighting positions and suppressed an IS sniper position near Sultan Abdallah; one strike destroyed an IS tactical vehicle and an IS vehicle near Albu Hayat and one strike struck an IS VBIED storage facility near Hit.
