UAE- Khalifa Foundation supports 40 Emirati families at Al Dhafra Festival

ABU DHABI 30th December 2015 (WAM) -- The pavilion of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation at Al Dhafra Festival in the Western Region Abu Dhabi has witnessed a huge turnout. The pavilion aims to involve UAE families which produce heritage products at the festival.

Mohammed Haji Khouri Director-General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation said that the organisation is keen on achieving its strategy aimed at implementing its " Support Emirati Families'' Initiative.

The initiative aims to provide assistance in various fields such as the Iftar Project Purchase of Souvenirs and Hospitality as well as participating in various exhibitions across the country.

He explained that the aim of supporting Emirati families is to maintain and promote traditional Emirati handicrafts to ensure their survival in the long term. He also noted that the foundation is keen on encouraging Emirati families to double their efforts in production and find sources of income for themselves for the future.

The foundation is participating in the festival with 20 shops with two women in every shop to exhibit products such as traditional handicrafts perfumes popular food and others.
