UAE- Dar Al Ber helps over 20000 people convert to Islam over 22 years

DUBAI 29th December 2015 (WAM) -- The Islamic Information Centre of the Dar Al Ber Society has helped over 20000 people from different nationalities convert to Islam since its inception in 1993.

Rashid Al Junaibi Manager of the Centre said that about 2200 of these became Muslims at the centre in 2015. "The centre spares no effort to spread the tolerant message of Islam which fits everywhere and time."

Official figures show that the centre has distributed one million scientific books booklets brochures CDs lectures and leaflets in different languages this year so far. "The centre has run a variety of activities spanning 3694 lectures and classes and 6102 courses on Islamic Sharia."

Al Junaibi said the centre is all set with a variety of activities to reach a big number of people and show its presence in more locations. "The centre is going to open a new branch in the Al Qouz area soon to reach over 58000 workers."

Another new branch is to be established in Ras al-Khaimah for the service of foreign communities in the northern emirate he said. "A third branch is to be opened in the Dragon Mart area for the Chinese community there."

The centre is geared up to launch a promising project under the theme 'Peace Ambassadors' to qualify and train a group of Emirati nationals to speak about Islam and spread its merciful teachings he added.

"We will organise a number of activities and programmes in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai and other concerned bodies at the time of Expo 2020."

Al Junaibi said the centre founded in 1993 is meant to enlighten non-Muslims about the genuine and tolerant teachings of Islam and teach new Muslims the right principles of this great religion.

"Competent preachers and scholars at the centre which is located in the Satwa area behind the Civil Defence Department is open all the week round from 9 a.m. to answer people's queries about Islam in the most persuasive and attractive way."

Al Junaibi said the Islamic Information Centre has helped 30 people embrace Islam at the Dubai International Peace Convention 2015 along with 35 at the Zayed bin Mohammed Forum and two at the 11th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition 2015.

"The centre has also helped three convert to Islam at the bowling championship and 21 converts at the first and second New Muslim Retreats" he said disclosing that five people from the Philippines and Brazil embraced Islam during its annual celebration of new Muslims.

The annual celebration was held under the sponsorship of Mohammed Saeed Al Ghaith and saw the presence of Sheikha Dr. Hind Bint Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi Chairwoman of BPW Middle East and BPW Emirates Club.

Also present were Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie Dar Al Ber Society Chairman Imran Mohammed Abdullah Head of Charity Projects Sector Awad Mohammad Bin Mejren Head of the Emirates Travellers Team and a number of VIPs dignitaries managers and new Muslims.
