First edition of London Core Review Course to be held in Dubai at IFM

DUBAI 29th December 2015 (WAM) -- INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions a member of INDEX Holding has signed an agreement with the London Core Review Course on Cardiothoracic Surgery. The agreement paves the way for INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions to hold the first edition of the London Core Review Course in Dubai from 16th - 19th April 2016 in conjunction with its annual conference the International Family Medicine Conference and Exhibition IFM scheduled to be held from 17th - 19th April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani Chairman of INDEX Holding signed the agreement with Professor Abdallah Raweh MD PhD Vice-Rector Full Professor of Cardiac Surgery Director of Arab Countries Core Review at the headquarters of INDEX Holding in Dubai. As per this agreement INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions holds the exclusive rights for organising this training programme in the Middle East North Africa Korea and China.

The importance of this agreement stems from the fact that it is the first time for the training programme to be organised outside the United Kingdom. Prof. Abdallah Raweh chose Dubai to be the first international city to host the programme outside of UK. The London Core Review programme is organised by medical and scientific communities with the support of the British government the British Royal College of Surgeons and in cooperation with the US government.

The London Core Review programme provides a comprehensive review of the core information required for surgeons preparing for competency written examination to qualify to practice Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery. The extremely comprehensive course covers numerous topics delivered over 4 days. It conforms to the basic curriculum in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery recommended by the Thoracic Surgery Directors' Association. Delegates who complete the 4-day event will get 36 hours credit. The London Core Review course is accredited with the Society Cardiothoracic Surgery and the British Royal College of Surgeons.

The third edition of IFM will witness the participation of more than 45 professional speakers in a number of scientific sessions that will improve public health and address chronic diseases. The conference's agenda this year includes 10 intensive scientific sessions and 4 workshops. It will discuss topics like Medical Tourism Non Communicable Diseases Health Checks How to Fight Against Smoking Cardiovascular Disease in Primary Healthcare Respiratory Disease in Primary Healthcare How to Fight Against Obesity Women's Health Occupational Health Mental Health Leadership and Quality of care at PHC and Care for Senior Citizens.

IFM is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority. IFM is organised annually by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions a member of INDEX Holding.
