(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Dec.29 (Petra) -- Relatively cold conditions are forecast to prevail in most parts of the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday while it will be mild in the Jordan Valley the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.
In its daily brief the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said winds will be southeasterly moderate with clouds at various altitudes. Scattered showers mainly in the eastern and southeastern regions accompanied with thunder and lightening are also expected.
Meteorologists warn of frost formation mainly in the in the desert regions and the hilly areas as further drop in temperatures are expected during the night.
Maximum temperatures forecast in the capital for today and tomorrow will range between a high of 13 degrees Celsius and a low of 4 degrees at night while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 24 degrees dropping to 10 at night.
