HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received yesterday evening a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Talks during the phone call dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for boosting them, in addition to the latest developments in the region.

Panel discusses rise in rents
The Advisory Council's Services and Public Utilities Committee held yesterday a meeting under its rapporteur Saqr Fahd al-Mereikhi. The committee continued its examination of the rise in rents. They agreed to resume their evaluation at another meeting. Meanwhile, the Advisory Council held its weekly meeting of the 44th ordinary session under the chairmanship of its Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi. HE the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the agenda. Then the council endorsed the minutes of its previous session. It took note of a report from the Cabinet General Secretariat addressed to the Supreme Council of Health on the council's recommendations concerning the health insurance system.
