Korean car sales in Egypt register EGP 7.3bn in first 10 months of 2015


(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The Korean personal car market in Egypt achieved sales of EGP 7.3bn during the first 10 months of 2015 out of the total sales of the automotive market in Egypt during that period, which amounted to about EGP 28bn.

Korean personal cars were able to sell 49,300 units of the total market sales of 163,000 units, with 30.2% of the automotive market in Egypt.

The Hyundai Verna topped the list with more than 18,200 cars sold, the most sold in Egypt, with sales of EGP 1.7bn in 2015, as it is the cheapest Korean car in the Egyptian market.

The Hyundai IX35 achieved sales of about EGP 1.5bn during the same period, taking second place with sales of 6,372 cars. The Hyundai Elantra came in third, achieving sales of EGP 1.01bn by selling 5,971 cars.
