Oman- PACP recovers over RO1.2mn in consumer disputes

The Directorate General for Studies and Development in the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) in its report has stated that it recovered RO1262446.279 as damages in consumer disputes.

The money was recovered in the third quarter of this year. A press release stated that the maximum money in damages (RO536856.996) was recovered from Muscat governorate.

The PACP administration in Seeb recovered RO128433.5. Muscat was followed by Dakhliyah (RO145697.233) North Sharqiyah (RO105681) Dhofar (RO99226.6 including RO30 from the wilayat of Al Mazyona) North Batinah (RO57254.34) Buraimi (RO51611.45) South Sharqiyah (RO42400.82) and Dhahirah with RO40059.075.

PACP also recovered RO28875.9 from disputes registered in Barka and RO15038.475 in Rustaq in South Batinah. In Musandam it recovered RO10439.8 in Khasab and RO841.05 in Dibba. 'There was no recovery from Al Wusta during the period' the release said.
