Boosting Arab cultural ties vital- Kuwaiti official


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO Dec 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Library's General Manager Kamel Al-Abduljaleel stressed the importance of developing and spreading Arab culture through boosting ties between Arab states in the field.The official's statement came during a ceremony held in Cairo late Sunday to celebrate 125 years of establishing Egypt's Dar Al-Ma'arif.During the event Dar Al-Ma'arif honored Kuwait for its role in spreading Arab culture.Al-Abduljaleel who represented Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah in the event said that Kuwait was proud to be honored by the Egyptian publishing company.Meanwhile he noted Egypt's rich book releases and their impact on spreading Arab culture as well as the country's continuous efforts in supporting and bringing together Arab authors to share experience in the field.(end) ms.ag
