ISIL PYD are stooges of conflicting global powers- Erdogan

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL Dec 27 (KUNA) -- President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said terror groups like so-called ISIL and Democratic Union Party (PYD) as well as latter's military wing - People's Protection Units (YPG) are used by global powers to serve their conflicting interests in Syria.These groups are as serious as the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Turkey Al-Qaeda Boko Haram (in Nigeria) and Al-Shabaab (in Somalia) he said.Muslims have an important mission which is to stand against these groups that do the greatest harm to Muslims by using the name of Islam Erdogan pointed out.The terrorist organizations that exploit Islam did nothing in favor of Muslims in the areas they control; they only created pretexts for hostile forces to intervene in the domestic affairs of Islamic states he argued.If Muslims do not stand united against these groups all those interventions targeting our region will continue he warned.The Turkish President made the comments at a celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of the Turkish unity waqf (religious endowment).
