S. Korea, Malaysia log high joint trade of USD10.8b


(MENAFN) South Korea and Malaysia registered an overall trade of USD10.80 billion throughout the first eight months of this year, based on recent reports.

The total trade sum has made Malaysia the 12th largest trade partner of S. Korea and the latter the 10th biggest investor in the manufacturing industry in Malaysia.

Malaysia's main exports to South Korea were liquefied natural gas, oil and electronic goods while the main imports were machinery and oil products.

Furthermore, Malaysia has had one of the best economic records in Asia, with GDP increasing an average 6.5 percent annually from 1957 to 2005.
