(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH Dec 27 (KUNA) -- Saudi air defenses intercepted a Scud missile that was roaring in direction of the Saudi city Najran the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Sunday.The missile was knocked out the skies at 11 p.m. on Saturday the Coalition Forces in support of the legitimacy in Yemen said in a statement broadcast by the SPA.Coalition warplanes scrambled into action immediately after downing the missile hitting the rocket launcher located in the Sanaa region in Yemen.Riyadh had reported several of such attacks targeting Saudi towns and territories.The Scud of a range of some 180 km (110 miles) is a tactical missile developed by the defunct Soviet Union.
