Saudi- 'Control panel' seeks more teeth
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: Uncooperative attitude of some government employees and lack of information during inspection tours are some of the hurdles the Control and Investigation Board (CIB) has been facing.
This was revealed in the annual report of the watch body for 1435-1436 A.H. that was submitted to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman who has referred it to the Shoura Council for recommendations local media reported on Saturday.
The CIB has also complained against the delay in approving a proposal submitted to the royal court nine years ago in addition to the system of disciplining employees which was proposed 15 years ago.
The draft bill to protect public funds and fight against abuse of power also hangs in the balance it said in the report.
The CIB has also complained about insiders in the watch body leaking information to other agencies because of a lack of incentives for its employees similar to those enjoyed by other members of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution Grievances Court and the National-Anti-Corruption Commission.
The CIB report is being reviewed by the committee on human rights and supervisory commission of the Shoura Council.
