Bahrain Elected Educational Conference Vice President


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo Rabi'I 15 1437 Dec 26 2015 SPA -- Bahrain's Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi the President of the Higher Education Council led Bahrain's delegation to the 15th conference of the ministers responsible for higher education and academic research in the Arab world.
Bahrain was elected by all the Arab countries Vice President of the conference convened under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi BNA reported.
Director General of the Arab League's Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Dr. Abdullah Muhareb praised at the beginning of the opening session Bahrain's positive response to the organization and its implementation of the recommendations of the previous conference.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi thanked the Arab countries for unanimously electing Bahrain as Vice President of the conference paying tribute to ALECSO Director General for commending Bahrain's response. He pointed out the need to develop the educational sector and academic research according to global developments.
The conference shed light on many issues including diversifying funding resources of higher education and scientific researches in the Arab countries exchanging expertise in funding governance developing digital education programmes and condemning the Israeli violation of Palestinian university campuses and schools.
