(MENAFN- Gulf Times) More than 4,000 children in the age group of five to 10 participated in the Tree of Qatar contest for Hawiyati, National Day celebrations by Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall and its partners.
The contest was to write a message and express their love to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Qatar.
"Your Highness, you are a good man and every Qatari values you," wrote, Fahad Youssef, one of the winners of the contest. Zayed Jamal pledged his best to Qatar by "I give my soul to Qatar, the best country in my eyes", while Malak Abdel Fatah wrote about HH the Father Emir: "You brought the heritage to life and created the basis for Qatar's emancipation".
Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall had announced prizes worth QR15,000 for the winners.
Feroz Moideen, general manager, Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall, said: "It was our immense pride to support the nation by highlighting its impressive culture. The Tree of Qatar was an initiative that portrays the love to our nation through the words of young generation. The overwhelming response of this particular initiative and the creativity showcased by children was amazing."
