UAE's Sharjah logs 23 percent jump in Indian tourists


(MENAFN) Emeriti Sharjah is currently focusing on India as a major and vital market in tourism after registering a 23 percent surge last year in the number of Indian tourists visiting the city, according to latest reports.

There has been a roadshow that focused on promoting the prominent tourism projects coming up in the emirate as well as events and festivals such as the Sharjah Water Festival and World Aqua Bike championships.

Sharjah has been setting up promotional tours throughout the year aiming for a range of markets to support the emirate's leading position as a global tourist destination that attracts visitors from around the globe.

Furthermore, The UAE already enjoys deep ties with India and hosts a large number of residents from the Indian community, let alone Sharjah is one of the favorite cities for tourists from India.
