Dow dials up another triple digit gain
Wall Street was a sea of green arrows overnight as investors headed back into the equity market following a bounce in the crude oil price.
The Dow Jones jumped 185 points to 17603. The S&P 500 rallied 25 points to 2064 while the NASDAQ climbed 45 points to 5046.
Oil jumps gold eases
The U.S. benchmark once again holds a higher value than its international counterpart.
West Texas Intermediate soared 3.8% to US$37.50 a barrel while Brent climbed 3.6% to US$37.42 a barrel.
U.S. gold futures for February delivery gave up 0.5% overnight to US$1068 an ounce.
For 2015 the yellow metal is down close to 10%.
