Oman- SQU team wins NBO's Innovation in SME Awards

Team Eureka from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has been declared winner of National Bank of Oman's (NBO) inter-college Innovation in SME Awards.

NBO announced the winner at an event on Tuesday. The winner was awarded RO10000 to develop the project further. The competition which was launched in April received 45 applications. Four teams which reached the finals presented their ideas before the judges on Tuesday.

Besides Eureka the other finalist teams were Basma Omaniya (SQU) Book Lounge Modern College of Business and Science and Reverse (SQU).

The competition was judged by Malak al Shaibani CEO of National Business Centre Dr Said al Muharrmi dean SQU's College of Economics and Political Science and Ahmed al Musalmi CEO NBO. The competition will be an annual affair officials said.
