Kuwait- Speaker Al Ghanim lauds Greece recognition of state of Palestine

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Dec 23 (KUNA) -- President of the Arab Parliament and Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim lauded Tuesday the Greek parliament's recognition of Palestine as a state.In a press release Al-Ghanim said that the Greek parliament's decision was in line with a popular movement amongst European nations to bring upon peace in the Middle East.He took the chance to remind Israel that the world is carrying on this policy to recognize the right of Palestinians for an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.The Greek parliament's decision came at a time when Palestinians are continuously suffering from the unjust Israeli policies which will destroy any chances for peace in the region said Al-Ghanim.
