Russia intends to fund Iran with USD5b

(MENAFN) Russia plans to grant Iran a USD5 billion over the next year, in an important move that should pave the path for more deep business relations, especially after lifting the imposed sanctions.

Representatives of 80 leading Russian firms are taking part in the Russian national exhibition which is being currently held, and it's seen as the largest foreign display of the kind ever held in Iran.

Russia is expected to be Iran's number one ally in the oil industry considering the deep ties they already have; therefore both are preparing plans and schemes that will boost their global presence.

'We are all interested in eventually lifting the economic sanctions against Iran; this will significantly simplify the process of financial transactions,' said the Russian Industry and Trade Minister.
