Oman- 502 workers violate labour law

The weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower pointed out that the number of workers violating the Labour Law during December 13th to 19th 2015 stood at (502)

The inspection teams caught (485) workers including (203) absconding workers (257) astray workers and (25) workers with other violations.

The Governorate of Muscat witnessed the largest number of workers violating the law with (208) followed by the Governorate of Dhofar with (93) workers.

The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.

The Manpower Ministry statistics showed that (285) expatriate workers were deported for violating provisions of the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions executing the law.
