Kuwait- MoI reiterates security of Christian places of worship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Dec 21 (KUNA) -- Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sulaiman AlFahad on Monday reiterated keenness on security and safety of Christians and their places of worship thanking them for interacting with such efforts.Today AlFahad received representatives of the churches in Kuwait as part of coordination meetings with religious bodies and sects in the country the ministry's Security Media Department said in a statement.They are part of the efforts to enhance preventive measures and take security and precautionary steps as well as exchanging views at a time that requires further caution and cooperation to support the ministry's efforts.During the meeting Al-Fahd conveyed greetings by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to the representatives and stressed eagerness that all people in Kuwait enjoy freedom of faith and of practicing religious rituals in stable conditions dominated by tolerance love and peaceful coexistence the statement added.Al-Fahd congratulated the representatives on their feasts expressing pleasure for the good and fruitful meeting.For their part the representatives of churches expressed appreciation of the efforts by the Interior Ministry to guarantee security and safety for all people in Kuwait.They underlined the fact that Kuwait "will always remain land of toleration and peaceful coexistence according to the statement.The meeting discussed some points that are likely to boost cooperation for further security and safety of all.
