Program to build bridges between ulema and society
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: The Supreme Council of Senior Scholars has launched a comprehensive program to build bridges of communication with individuals and society as part of an ongoing initiative toward building a mutual understanding with society.
The council explained that the program aims to enhance the efficiency of community contributions and benefit from the developments in the modern environment and communication.
The program in line with the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman will continue work on firm foundations to uphold Islamic values.
Secretary-general of the council Sheikh Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid said that the awareness program is to guide the people in the right direction according to the precepts of Islam which is the official religion of the Kingdom.
The idea is to inculcate a peaceful and nonviolent approach in the minds of the citizens so that there will be a better understanding between the government and society.
To carry out the program a consultancy firm has been hired to make the communications channels more effective. Media houses newspapers and social media will be used for propagating the ideas of religious and moral values and for peaceful existence.
In its campaign the council will harness the expertise of Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Subaihi who has a proven track record in the field of cultural communications.
