UAE- Ras al Khaimah Ruler receives FNC Speaker and members

RAS AL KHAIMAH 20th December 2015 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah today received Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) Marwan Ahmad bin Galita First Deputy Speaker of FNC Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zaabi Second Deputy Speaker of FNC and FNC members.
During the meeting they reviewed a number of issues with the aim to provide the best services to Emiratis and expats as well as to secure a dignified life for all segments of the Emirati society.
Sheikh Saud hailed the attention paid by the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to political participation in decision making and thus contribute to the development process being witnessed by the UAE in all fields.
He pointed out that the UAE was able to achieve the dream of becoming a Union and make it a role model which enhances political participation in the country and would contribute to the success of its experience.
He also said that the progress and prosperity witnessed in the UAE are the result of the tireless efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers. The country has became a role model across the world as it has achieved in a few years what other countries could attain in long decades thanks to the wise policies of the prudent leadership.
He reiterated that in a short time achievements have been accomplished at all levels under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Supreme Council Members Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates which made the country a role model in various fields and sectors.
He added ''We are expecting so much from you in the field of serving the homeland and Emiratis as well as providing the best services to the UAE citizens in the light of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan."
He also highlighted the acts of heroism of the UAE Armed Forces as well as their efforts exerted to defend the righteous and carry out their duty in Yemen. He congratulated Al Qubaisi on being the first woman in the Arab world to have been elected to such a post wishing her and members good luck in serving the country.
On her part Dr. Amal extended thanks and appreciation to the RAK Ruler for supporting the FNC's objectives and visions. She said ''We will be a role model in serving the homeland and the UAE citizens stressing the importance of cooperation between FNC and the government for the benefit of everyone."
Later Sheikh Saud hosted a lunch banquet in the honour of the FNC Speaker and members.
A number of officials attended the meeting.
