Israel Releases Terrorists Who Burned Baby Killed Palestinian Family


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) The Israeli terrorists who set fire to the home of a Palestinian family and burned their baby alive on July 31 have been released.

Shortly after the attack the Israeli army issued a statement saying they had strengthened security forces in the area to search for the suspects described as 'two masked terrorists' and to prevent any escalation of violence.

A week later on August 5 Israeli authorities arrested Mordechai Meyer an Israeli terrorist from Maaleh Adumim for his involvement in the crime. Yet Meyer was only given a six-month administrative detention order.

According to French website HBK Meyer and the other unidentified attacker have been freed by Israeli authorities from any charges related to arson attack and the subsequent death of four innocent Palestinians.

On the night of July 31 Israeli terrorists set fire to a house at the entrance of Kafr Duma village south of Nablus city in the occupied West Bank.

Reuters quoted eyewitnesses as saying that attackers smashed the house's windows and threw fire bombs inside shortly before dawn while the family was asleep.

According to Haaretz the attackers wrote a slogan used by Israeli extremists on the walls of the home spray-painting the words 'revenge' and 'long live the Messiah'.

Ali Dawabsheh an 18-month old baby was burned alive while her parents and brother were intoxicated by the fumes.

A few days after the attack Saad Dawabsheh Ali's father died in a hospital in Beersheba where he was treated for third degree burns from the arson attack.

The mother Riham Dawabsheh succumbed to burn injuries in early September leaving their 4-year-old son orphan.

The crime angered Palestinians which led to several clashes between Palestinians and Israelis.

The attack was recognized and denounced by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as 'terrorism'.

'This is an act of terrorism in every respect. The State of Israel takes a strong line against terrorism regardless of the perpetrators' Benjamin Netanyahu had saidin a tweet at the time.

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon had said in a statement: 'We will not allow Jewish terrorists to harm the lives of Palestinians in Judea and Samaria' referring to the West Bank by its Biblical name.

'We will fight against them firmly and with all means and tools at our disposal' he added.

Jewish media did not comment on Israel's decision to drop the charges and release the criminals.
