Bahrain s King receives US Defence Secretary

Manama 19th December 2015 (WAM): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain received at Al-Safriya Palace US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter.

HM the King and the US Secretary of Defence discussed latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest for the two countries Bahrain News Agency BNA reported today.

King Hamad reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support to all regional and international efforts to protect security and stability and consolidate peace in the region hailing the US-led role to strengthen regional security and stability and serve the cause of peace in the world.

The US Secretary of Defence hailed his meeting with HM the King which he said reflects strong relations of partnership and solid cooperation between the two friendly countries regarding all issues.

He lauded the important role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain led by HM the King stressing its constructive and fruitful coordination and cooperation towards the issues of security stability and peace in the region.
