Russia says it has evidence downed warplane didn't breach Turkish skies


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MOSCOW Dec 18 (KUNA) -- Russia possesses hard evidences substantiating its assertion that one of its warplanes recently shot down by Turkish fighter jets did not breach Turkish airspace a military official said on Friday.Air Force Deputy Commander Sergey Dronov said during a news conference that data released from the downed warplane revealed that it had neither violated the Turkish air space nor posed any danger to the Turkish side.The Russian warplane taking part in strikes on Syrian opposition strongholds in Syria was shot down over the Syrian-Turkish border region by a Turkish fighter jet on November 24th. Ankara said it brought down the aircraft because it violated the country's skies.Dronov also indicated that Moscow invited experts from 14 states to take part in releasing contents of the downed plane black box however only Chinese and British experts took part in the process.Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday labelled the aircraft downing as a belligerent act by Turkey.
