According to the report Morocco is a safe tourist destination ranking in the same category as most European countries and the United States.
Morocco is ranked as a low travel security risk destination with medium medical risk a reassuring rating compared to its neighboring countries. Morocco is the only country listed under low security risk index in the North Africa. Tunisia is ranked as medium risk Algeria as high risk (except its central region which is marked as medium) and Libya in the category of countries with extreme security risk. With the exception of Yemen and North Sinai in Egypt Most Arab countries including Jordan Kuwait Qatar United Arab Emirate and Oman are marked as low risk. The report highlight the inexistence of racial or sectarian violence in Morocco. 'Violent crime rates are low and racial sectarian or political violence or civil unrest is uncommon.' Thanks to its proactive and anticipatory multi-dimensional approach in the fight against international terrorism Morocco managed to thwart several potential terrorist attacks on its territory. 'Security and emergency services are adequate and infrastructure is sound. Industrial action and transport disruption are infrequent' the report said. The report highlighted the most common concerns of travelers before they head to their destinations. 'While 8 in 10 travelers have felt their personal safety could be threatened abroad less than 4 in 10 travelers research crime at destination neighborhoods to avoid safety standards of public transport or security features of their accommodation before they travel' the report found. According to the report 45 percent research vaccination requirements 43 percent research attitudes cultures and practices of local population 37 review security features of accommodation 37 percent research crime 29 percent pack first aid kit and 23 percent consider road conditions.
