Brazil s TAM Plane Diverted In Morocco After Bomb Threat


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) ;">Rabat – Brazilian TAM Airlines was forced to return to Madrid late Monday after an alleged bomb alert the company said in a statement.

The largest Brazilian airline by market share and fleet size TAM Airlines heading to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport had to make a U-turn while flying over Casablanca Morocco.

According to a map published by Flightradar24 website the flight No. JJ8065 led by a Boeing 777-32W aircraft left Madrid’s Barajas Airport around 9:21 p.m. local time passed over Tangier Rabat and turned back shortly after passing Casablanca.

The airline stated that statement of the airline “the plane landed safely and passengers were assisted” adding that the threat has not been confirmed.

“We continue to work with local authorities” the Brazilian company added.

The flight was originally scheduled to arrive on Tuesday morning at the Guarulhos airport in Sao Paulo.
