Kuwait- National library turns digital

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Dec 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Library has installed an electronic system as part of a project to upgrade its documentation and services.The library general director Kamel Al-Abduljeli said in a statement that the electronic project is aimed at preserving the national literary and intellectual heritage including history and culture books and references.With installment of the electronic network the library will be a reference for the national archive following example of top libraries worldwide.Contents of valuable books have been loaded into the digital system he explained.The project also includes assembling documents maps manuscripts as well as stamps old currencies and coins.
