Qatar's Barzan gas project begins in 2016


(MENAFN) Qatar predicts to start processes at its Barzan gas project in the coming year, with total output in 2016.

The project worth USD 10bn and it was predicted to come online last year, which will serve the nation's growing energy needs.

"Hydrocarbon output will get a boost from Barzan, a new pipeline gas production facility scheduled to come on stream in 2016 and reach full capacity in 2017," said the Ministry.

He also added crude oil production in this year to drop by almost 6 percent and condensates output to decrease by around 8 percent.
