NCSI's Tour Oman smartphone app gets over 7000 downloads

Tour Omana highly user-friendly free smartphone application offering a wealth of information on the sultanate's vibrant tourism and hospitality sectoris fast becoming one of the most loved tourism-focused applications among international tourists with already more than 7000 downloads.

The chic app was designed and developed by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) Oman's nodal agency in charge of statistics information and national spatial data infrastructure stated a press release.

The latest version of the app is dynamic and interactive and is packed with a range of easy-to-use functions designed to enrich user experience across multiple levels. It helps tourists from across the globe - and anyone keen to know more about the sultanate and its tourist attractionsexplore the land and its amazingly diverse attractions including places culture and history and enjoy the various facilities and services.

The app has neatly categorised the rich content under sections such as Map Destinations Services Attractions Near Me and My Trips. Clicking on Map will take you to both satellite and hybrid maps of Oman and also display the user's precise location. The Destinations section as the name suggests provides an exhaustive list of destinations across the length and breadth of Oman at the governorate and wilayat levels and dispenses information on hotels restaurants recreation options shopping centres and other services available in specific areas.

The Services segment is rich in content complete with all relevant information about banks and financial institutions diplomatic missions academic institutions government units health and medical facilities hotels restaurants shopping centres fuel stations postal services civil defence offices real estate firms religious centres and travel and tour operators.
