Three Moroccan ISIS Jihadists Killed By Russian Missile in Syria


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Three ISIS fighters reportedly from Morocco have been killed by a Russian missile in Syria. The three men had come to Syria from Tetouan a city in northern Morocco and Fnidek 31 kilometers north of Tetouan according to sources cited by Le360 news website.

The militants who had joined the ranks of the so-called Islamic State in Syria (ISIS) were killed 'after being targeted by a missile fired from a Russian aircraft' the same source said.

The identities of the three men remain unknown to the media.

The three jihadist had joined the terrorist organization of Abubakr Al-Baghdadi as recently as last summer.

Moroccan media said the fighters were at a training camp in Syria that prepares militants for combat when the air-ground missile (AGM) was launched.

The same source noted that one of the three young men was living in Ceuta (a Spanish enclave in Moroccan territory) before heading to Syria via Turkey.

According to figures by the North Observatory for Human Rights eight Moroccans had pledged allegiance to ISIS ranks last July while three have joined the terrorist organization from August through October.
