Kuwait- National Assembly approves animal rights bill

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Dec 16 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly unanimously endorsed in its follow-up session on Wednesday a bill that ensures animal rights and draft laws that penalize illegal trade or possession of predators.A report by the parliamentary Public Utilities Commission said the law says that animal owners must provide suitable shelters and care and sets strict requirements and terms to keep the animal.It also aims to secure animal welfare and protect people from wild animals that have been owned and announced for sale in the social media without supervision by the competent authorities.
