Oman- Sayyid Fahd receives Iraqi speaker

On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said H H Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Tuesday received Dr Saleem Abdullah al Jabouri Speaker of Iraq's Council of Representatives.

Dr Jabouri conveyed greetings of the Iraqi leadership to His Majesty theSultan along with wishes of good health and success. He also conveyed wishes for the further progress of Omani people.

Sayyid Fahd reviewed bilateral ties stressing on Oman's keenness under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan to support all efforts towards maintaining Iraq's unity reconciliation and harmony. Sayyid Fahd also pointed out that along with the government the Council of Oman too contributes in enhancing national initiatives. The meeting covered developments in Iraq efforts to rebuild it and the current cooperation between the two countries.
