Yemeni Vice President Hails Qatari Humanitarian Efforts
During the meeting they discussed the latest developments on the Yemeni arena particularly the humanitarian situation since two years ago along with a number of projects which can be implemented by the QRC in Yemen.
The Yemeni Vice President offered the Yemeni government's appreciation for all Qatar's initiatives and humanitarian stance in safeguarding the lives of Yemenis and defending their fortunes praising the concrete effort being made by the Qatari government and its people since the beginning of the crisis.
Bahah affirmed that Qatar could have a big role in the relief field equivalent to the military and political support provided with all coalition countries where all measures would be taken to facilitate the joint coordination in order to serve the largest segment of the needy citizens of relief.
For his part Al Maadheed said that the Qatari Red Crescent will spare no effort in supporting brothers in Yemen especially the QRC has ties and international humanitarian and diplomatic links qualifies it to work with its partners in the national society.
For his part Saleh bin Ali Al-Mohannadi QRC Secretary-General said that the QRC with the support of the State of Qatar constitutes one of the most contributors to help those affected of events taking place in Yemen for years.
He pointed out that the QRC has signed an agreement with Qatar Development Fund to carry out a relief program worth $ 4 million for the transfer of the wounded from Yemen to Djibouti and sent a surgeon for their treatment.
Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Baoun said that he was actually touching the impact and the efforts of the Qatari Red Crescent in developing capabilities and requirements of many of the health centers. (QNA)
