France to traThree Moroccan Women


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) France will bestow its highest awards upon three Moroccan women. The Ambassador of France in Morocco will decorate on Tuesday Nadia Bezad Soumaya Guessous and Faouzia Zaaboul with the National Order of the Legion of Honor the highest award in France.

The French Legion of Honor to the three Moroccan women came as a reward for their 'remarkable services' in their field of work.

Nadia Bezad is a Venereologist and dermatologist and the founding president of the Organization pan African for the fight against AIDS. She had launched AIDS testing campaigns in populations at risk and publicly called for the introduction of sex education at schools.

Soumaya Naamane Guessous is a Moroccan sociologist and columnist known as the “champion” of women’s rights. She is best known as author of the book 'Au-dela de toute pudeur' first published in 1988 about the sexual life of Moroccan women.

Faouzia Zaaboul is the current director of the treasury at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She has spent her entire career in the public service. She participated in the reform of the capital markets and the stock exchange.
