UAE- Sharjah Ruler attends workshop on heritage preservation

SHARJAH 15th December 2015 (WAM)H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah today attended the regional workshop on heritage protection during crises at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage.

The two-day workshop is organised by the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) in co-operation with Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) and Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO) and attended by 30 experts from Arab and GCC countries.

A number of issues are being discussed during the workshop aimed to preserve cultural heritage in the Arab nation as well as to prepare a plan to protect heritage at the level of the Arab countries.
