(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Washington December 15 (QNA) - US President Barack Obama said Monday US war planes were hitting ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq "harder than ever" and announced that he was sending his defense secretary to Iraq to review the attack.
Speaking at the Pentagon Obama said the US had killed a number of ISIS leaders recently "one by one"."ISIS leaders cannot hide and our message to them is simple: you are next" he said. "Since this summer ISIS has not had a single successful major offensive operation on the ground in either Syria or Iraq." Without giving details Obama said the US was also targeting ISIS social media operations."As we squeeze its heart we'll make it harder for ISIS to see its propaganda to the world" he said.
Obama admitted however that"This fight continues to be difficult." White House spokesman John Earnest said the war on ISIS as building "momentum"."The president is not going to be satisfied until ISIS is degraded and ultimately destroyed" Earnest said. (QNA)
