Oman- Amal al Raisi's Spring collection inspired by flowers

Omani fashion designer Amal al Raisi launched her Spring collection at the Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah Resort and Spa on Saturday.

Twenty-four models showcased the collection to a gathering of fashion lovers.

Amal began her career in the industry over eight years ago under the brand name Dar al Aseel.

Most of her collections are traditional Omani dresses including abaya and jalabiya.

Talking about the newest collection Amal said 'For the SS16 collection I found my inspiration from the floral universe. Flowers are beautiful yet powerful and have always been a main source of inspiration to me. The colours that can be seen through the collection are old rose soft grey and delicate white. It is the cuts and custom-made fabrics that are equally soft and feminine and complement the woman wearing it. The embroidery has done by hand.'

Set to be available from January the dresses will be priced from RO90 to RO600.
