(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Dec.14 (Petra)--The Kingdom continues to be affected by a cold moist air mass; therefore it will be partly cloudy with a chance for heavy rain in the eastern parts of the country. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk .
In its daily brief the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said that clouds will gradually decrease with thickening fog formation over the hilly areas and northwesterly moderate winds.
A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday but it will continue to be chilly in the hilly areas and relatively cold in other parts of the country with clouds at low altitudes the weather forecaster added.
A sharp temperature gradient is expected during the night bringing chilly conditions with frost formation mainly in the desert regions and hilly areas. Winds will be westerly moderate.
Temperatures expected in the capital for today will range between a high of 11 degrees Celsius and a low of 5 degrees at night.
