(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Bahrain the Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah asserted on Monday that endorsement of the National Action Charter NAC represented a major turning point in modern Bahrain's path towards democracy embodied in monumental cooperation between the rulers and the citizens.Sheikh Azzam on the 14th NAC Anniversary described the charter as a political document containing the bases of national work in the present and future. The convention he said has become the catalyst for all the political reforms witnessed by the Kingdom since its adoption.The Ambassador also noted that it had paved the way for comprehensive reforms including amendments to the Constitution and Bahrain's change into a Constitutional Monarchy based on rights justice equality and transparency.It also embodied a social contract bonding all social segments within a united nation that embraces all its citizens on the bases of justice and equality Ambassador Sheikh Azzam elaborated.He concluded by extending sincere congratulations to the Kingdom's leadership namely King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as well as the Government and the people of the Kingdom.
